Well folks, it's been a long road (over a year now) but we have been told today that our request for tax exemption as a religious body is now with the Deputy Commissioner for sign off. Let's hope he signs it off and approves it. It's been a long road with lots of questions to answer and info to give and the ATO representative who has written our case has been so supportive and has included as much appropriate info as she can and has referred to a number of similar international instances as support. Fingers crossed.
